Frequently asked questions.
How did you become a doula?
I’ve been a birth nerd since I was 10 years old! The women in my family have had beautiful and empowering births. As I got older, I realized they were in the minority. It felt like calling to help families achieve an unforgettable birth experience.
How long have you been a doula?
I have been a doula for 2 years and have attended 40 births!
When should I hire a doula?
The earlier the better. That way, we can implement movements to help with pregnancy and birth. But it’s never too late. I’ve had people hire me at 37 weeks!
Will my partner become a third wheel?
Absolutely not! My goal is that your partner is front and center at your birth. However involved and present they want to be- I will make it happen!
Do you take insurance?
Currently, I take Medicaid, Carrot insurance, and FSA/HSA funds. Clients can also pay with CC.
Where do you attend births?
I attend all types of births! Home birth, birth center, and hospitals. I go to all hospitals within 30 miles of Denver.
Do you have a time limit?
Nope! Birth has no timeline. I stay until the baby is born.
Do you prescribe exercises for clients?
Yes! At our in-home prenatal appointment, I assess each client and give personalized movements. These movements are meant to decrease pain, create a smoother birth experience, and aid in postpartum recovery.
Do you have a backup doula?
Yes! I always have at least 2 backup doulas in case I’m at another birth. I will never leave my clients without care.
